The State of Utah Division of Facilities Construction and Management is soliciting a low-bid construction contract from contractors prequalified through its Stage I process. The project renovates the two-level Utah State Fairpark Administration Building and includes removal and replacement of floor coverings and wall base; installation of carpet tile, broadloom stair carpet, luxury vinyl plank flooring, and rubber wall base; interior and exterior painting; patching and repair; replacement of selected plumbing fixtures and related plumbing modifications; and replacement of exterior dimensional letter signage. Additive alternates cover manual roller shades and full replacement of the second-level plywood subfloor, with separate unit prices for subfloor replacement and underlayment. The building will remain occupied during construction, requiring dust control, protection of existing furnishings and finishes, coordination of work around ongoing operations, and compliance with safety and hazardous-material requirements. The project has a stated construction budget of $175,000 and a substantial completion date of April 30, 2027. A mandatory in-person meeting is required for prime contractors wishing to bid, and a 5% bid bond must accompany the bid. The solicitation also requires a subcontractor list to be submitted after bid opening by the separately stated deadline.
