Description
The U.S. Air Force is soliciting a firm-fixed-price, design-build construction contract for comprehensive structural rehabilitation and interior modernization of the Runway Control Structure, Building 1776. The scope includes structural steel realignment, exterior masonry repair, roof weatherproofing, interior reconfiguration, HVAC ductwork, electrical updates, specialized equipment cabinetry, and associated design and construction deliverables. The project must be performed within a mandatory 352-calendar-day period of performance, consisting of design, materials procurement, and a 45-calendar-day physical construction phase. Work will occur within a secure, active airfield environment and requires coordination of airfield access, controlled movement area procedures, utility outages, foreign-object-debris prevention, environmental compliance, and lead-paint safety. The solicitation requires a firm-fixed-price proposal, detailed cost estimate, proposed schedule and project narrative, technical evaluation proposal, recent relevant past-performance citations, completed representations and certifications, and a bid guarantee.
