Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs is soliciting a small business to remove, dispose of, and replace 160 end-of-life UPS batteries serving four UPS/UPM units and four battery cabinets. Replacement batteries must meet specified VRLA/AGM, performance, safety, compatibility, warranty, and domestic-content requirements, with supporting cut sheets, specification sheets, compatibility documentation, and country-of-origin information. The contractor must also provide semiannual UPS/UPM and battery-cabinet preventive maintenance, quarterly checks of all 160 batteries, corrective and unscheduled repairs, and 24/7 emergency repair service. The work requires qualified on-site technicians, authorized service capability for Eaton and Mitsubishi systems, battery disposal through licensed facilities, functional testing, reporting, and ongoing service support. The contract includes a base year and four option years and is evaluated on technical capability, compliance certifications, price, authorized-distributor status, and past performance.
