Description
The City of Tempe is soliciting a contractor to provide as-needed water meter services. The scope includes replacement and new installation of small meters ranging from 5/8 inch to 2 inches, and testing, calibration, repair, replacement, and new installation of large meters ranging from 3 to 10 inches. Services also include meter and register replacement, AMI endpoint installation and programming, meter box and lid work, valve repair, reporting, testing documentation, and related site restoration. The City will provide specified meters, registers, AMI equipment, gaskets, fittings, and other listed materials; the contractor must provide labor, supervision, tools, equipment, consumables, vehicles, permits, and other required materials. The contractor must meet experience, Phoenix Metropolitan Area office and testing-facility, staffing, certification, response-time, safety, traffic-control, insurance, warranty, and heat-safety requirements. The contract is indefinite-quantity, has an initial two-year term, and may be renewed for supplemental terms of up to four additional years. Proposals must include pricing, a completed questionnaire, required signed forms, a sustainability questionnaire, and a Heat Safety Plan.
