Description
Dallas Independent School District is conducting a Request for Information regarding a vendor-hosted student transportation system for its K–12 transportation operations. The requested solution includes routing and planning for regular, special-needs, alternative, shuttle, curb-to-curb, field-trip, and extracurricular transportation; GPS tracking; fleet maintenance; dispatch and driver management; ridership verification; and reporting and analytics. The system must integrate with student information, GPS, human resources, financial, inventory, fuel, and related district systems. It must provide secure web and mobile access for transportation staff, school personnel, and parents, including route information, bus tracking, estimated arrival times, notifications, and communication in English and Spanish. Vendors must address implementation, data migration, training, support, hosting, security, disaster recovery, accessibility, and extensive functional requirements. Responses must include completed system-requirements questionnaires, supporting system documentation, pricing information, company information, references, implementation and support details, and security and hosting documentation.
