The Towns of Clyde, Canton, and Waynesville are jointly requesting statements of qualifications from qualified professional civil engineers. The selected firm or firms will prepare a Preliminary Engineering Report meeting North Carolina Department of Environmental Quality requirements for State Revolving Fund approval and an application for a Finding of No Significant Impact. If the project proceeds, the scope will include design, bidding assistance, and construction oversight for a potable water interconnect in Haywood County. The project is expected to include approximately 35,000 linear feet of 12-inch water transmission lines and related appurtenances along public and private road rights-of-way. The project is funded through three State Revolving Fund loans and a grant, with a total project budget of $19,165,178.
