Buncombe County Schools is soliciting bids for the re-roofing of Sand Hill Venable Elementary School, Phase II. The project involves removing the existing ballasted EPDM roof membrane and installing a new loose laid ballasted single-ply roofing system with .060 inch thick EPDM membrane. The base bid covers approximately 14,664 square feet of roof area (Area C1). Work includes providing additional insulation, nailers, drain extensions, redistributing existing ballast, supplemental ballast, and new ANSI/SPRI edge metal. The contractor must provide a 20-year full system warranty with 72 mph wind coverage and a 2-year contractor warranty. The project is located at 154 Sand Hill School Road, Asheville, North Carolina. Substantial completion is required 75 days after Notice to Proceed, with liquidated damages of $200 per day for delays.
