Description
Buncombe County Schools is soliciting sealed proposals for the Valley Springs Middle School Mechanical Upgrade project. The work includes removal of the existing HVAC system and installation of a new air conditioning system for the main building and gymnasium, featuring dual temperature fan coil units with dedicated outside air as the primary system, and roof and pad mounted DX equipment as secondary systems. The project also involves removal and replacement of the existing building automation system (BAS), associated electrical work, and replacement of ceiling grid. The project is divided into five phases, beginning in March 2021 and completing in August 2022. Bids will be accepted on a lump sum basis using a single prime system. A pre-bid meeting and site walk-through are highly recommended.
