Description
The Ohio Department of Transportation's Office of Statewide Facilities is rebidding construction of a 2,500-ton salt storage building at the Newcomerstown Outpost. The project includes demolition of an existing covered wood storage barn; construction of a 70-by-90-foot, single-story, frame-supported tension-fabric structure with 12-foot poured reinforced concrete walls, an 8-inch reinforced concrete slab, LED lighting, adjacent gravel pavement, drainage grading, site clearing, excavation, foundations, electrical work, and exterior improvements. The estimated general contract amount is $1,464,000. The project has a 5 percent EDGE participation goal, prevailing-wage and domestic-steel requirements, and requires electronic bidding through Bid Express. Construction is scheduled to start in March 2027, with substantial completion required within 210 consecutive days after the Notice to Proceed.
