This Sources Sought notice seeks information from qualified firms capable of providing monthly preventive maintenance and authorized corrective repair services for commercial kitchen and refrigeration equipment at the Margaret Cochran Corbin VA Medical Center. The scope includes walk-in and reach-in coolers and freezers, commercial cooking equipment, dishwashers, cold and hot serving lines, conveyor equipment, toaster ovens, warming equipment, and related food-service systems. The contractor would provide personnel, tools, vehicles, materials, parts, supervision, reports, and a quality-control program. Preventive maintenance requires at least 16 hours per month for refrigeration equipment and 8 hours per month for cooking, meal-assembly, conveyor, toaster-oven, and dishwasher equipment. The requirement includes 24/7 emergency response, with emergency response times of four hours during normal duty hours and six hours outside those hours, plus urgent-response requirements. Corrective repairs and parts would be authorized as needed through contract modification. Personnel must have relevant equipment-repair experience, applicable trade licenses, and universal EPA certification for HVAC personnel. The anticipated contract is one base year with four option years, beginning at contract award.
