Description
The USDA Agricultural Research Service is seeking one used Class 5 combine harvester and one compatible flex draper header. The combine must be newer than 2005, have fewer than 2,000 separator hours, and include or support specified features such as a rotor separator, variable feeder drive, feeder-house reverser, diesel power, cab air and heat, safety lighting, and a grain-yield monitor compatible with Google Earth. The preferred combine is comparable to a Case IH 5088 or John Deere 9560 STS. The compatible flex draper header must be no wider than 30 feet, with 25 feet preferred, and must include a hydraulic fore-and-aft reel, single-point hydraulic hookup, and compatible draper gathering system. The award is expected to be firm fixed price, with one award covering both line items. Delivery of the operational combine and header is required within 60 days after receipt of order, and quotations must explain compliance with the specifications, identify any unmet requirements, provide pricing for all items, and address delivery capability. Past performance may be evaluated as acceptable, neutral, or unacceptable.
