Description
The City of Lacey is soliciting bids for asbestos and lead abatement and complete demolition of an existing fire tower and wood shed. The work includes removal of foundations, concrete slabs, appurtenances, debris, and hazardous materials; disposal at approved facilities; backfilling; hot-mix asphalt restoration; topsoil placement; seeding; mulching; erosion and water-pollution control; and protection of nearby buildings, utilities, pavement, and school access. The contractor must be registered through Washington State Labor and Industries and meet applicable public-works, prevailing-wage, permitting, asbestos, lead-abatement, and hazardous-waste requirements. The project range is $105,000 to $135,000, and completion is required within 20 working days. A five-percent bid deposit is required, and the successful bidder must provide full-amount performance and payment bond(s), insurance, and required permits and notifications.
