Description
The City of West Palm Beach is soliciting bids from qualified contractors to provide as-needed analysis and laboratory testing of algal toxins from surface waters and process controls. The revised Schedule of Bid Items includes EPA Method 546 or equivalent ELISA testing for microcystin and nodularins, EPA Method 544 or equivalent LC-MS/MS testing for microcystin and nodularins, EPA Method 545 or equivalent LC-MS/MS testing for cylindrospermopsin and anatoxin-a, and ELISA testing for anatoxin-a and saxitoxin. Addendum 1 clarifies that the City will collect samples and ship sample coolers to the contractor; the contractor must return the coolers, while the City pays the cooler-shipping cost. Pricing must be firm and fixed and include all labor, materials, equipment, transportation, delivery, tools, supervision, coordination, logistics, incidental expenses, sample-pickup charges, and sample bottles. The revised Schedule of Bid Items must be submitted both as a signed paper schedule and as an electronic schedule on a flash drive or other digital storage device. The addendum must also be acknowledged and returned with the bid; failure to do so may result in disqualification.
