Description
North York General Hospital is seeking an experienced construction manager and parking structure restoration contractor for its 2026 precast parking garage repair program. The initial scope includes localized repairs to double-T and inverted-T concrete members, bearing extensions, parapet walls, columns and corbels, reinforcing steel, waterproofing and asphalt interfaces, drainage components, painting, and traffic markings. Optional work includes threaded-rod replacement, loose-concrete removal, stem-end encasements, and ramp repairs. The successful contractor must self-perform parking restoration work within its capabilities and competitively procure and manage specialized trades. Proposals must address phasing, scheduling, traffic and parking access, hospital operational continuity, health and safety, infection prevention and control, hazardous-material procedures, quality control, and construction management. The agreement is anticipated to include an initial one-year term with up to three additional one-year extensions, subject to authorization and funding. A bid bond of 10% of the bid price and an agreement to bond for performance and labour-and-material payment bonds are required; the performance and payment bonds are each specified at 50% of the contract price.
