Description
Kennett Township is soliciting a lump-sum bid to remove and dispose of approximately 20,000 cubic yards of accumulated woody debris and yard waste from its facility. Materials include tree branches, trunks generally less than 18 inches in diameter, Christmas trees, leaves, and grass clippings. The contractor may grind the material onsite or haul it away for offsite grinding, but all material must be removed and disposed of; burning or incineration is not permitted. The successful contractor must provide all labor, supervision, equipment, fuel, materials, mobilization, demobilization, overhead, and insurance. Work is subject to Pennsylvania prevailing-wage requirements and must be completed within 45 calendar days after notification of bid award. A 10% bid bond is required, and the successful bidder must provide specified commercial general liability, automobile liability, workers’ compensation, and employer’s liability insurance before beginning work.
