Daviess County Fiscal Court is soliciting unit prices per ton for wood grinding and disposal services at the West Daviess County Landfill and Grimes Avenue Transfer Station. Estimated annual volumes are approximately 500 tons and 1,700 tons, respectively. The base scope includes grinding or shredding, labor, separation of de minimis garbage, fuel, maintenance, and machinery for loading and moving material. Transportation and disposal costs must be included in the unit price or identified as an exception. A separate bid option excludes transportation and requires ground material to be left in place. Work must be completed within 15 working days from the start date specified in the bid. Bidders must include a list of processing machinery and transport vehicles, plus proof of three to five years of experience supported by qualified references. The bid package also requires the completed Contract Term Agreement and Bid Form. A current certificate of insurance or binder is required with the bid where applicable; the solicitation specifies general liability limits of $1 million and statutory workers’ compensation coverage.
