Description
The U.S. Air Force is conducting a Sources Sought market-research effort, not requesting a binding quote or proposal, to identify contractors capable of relocating more than 20,000 furniture and appliance items from five buildings at Joint Base San Antonio–Fort Sam Houston. The requirement includes project management, inventory verification, disassembly, protective packaging, transportation, cleaning, climate-controlled storage, unloading, and reassembly or installation when required. Items include beds, mattresses, wardrobes, under-bed storage, nightstands, tables, chairs, desks, credenzas, refrigerators, and microwaves. The contractor must provide all personnel, equipment, tools, vehicles, materials, supervision, and storage facilities. The work includes a later return relocation to the base, daily debris removal, damage prevention, inventory tracking, safety compliance, and final inspection with the government. Personnel must satisfy base-access requirements, including background screening and DBIDS or visitor credentials; vehicles must be registered, insured, and inspected for installation access. The draft SOW states that work will begin after the Notice to Proceed and be completed by October 15, 2026.
