Description
The Department of Energy (DOE), National Energy Technology Laboratory (NETL) intends to negotiate and award a purchase order on a sole source basis to GEOTEK Ltd. for essential upgrade parts, installation, and training for their existing GeoTek Multi-Sensor Core Logger-Standard (MSCL-S) system. The required parts include an Acquisition PC, an additional magnetic susceptibility loop sensor, MSCL Electronics, P-wave transducers, core boats, and a Gamma Density Measurement System with a Cs-137 Source and Detector. These upgrades are critical for ensuring the satisfactory operation of the current MSCL-S system and require integration with GEOTEK's proprietary hardware and software. Due to the proprietary nature of the technology and source code, only GEOTEK Ltd. can provide these components and ensure compatibility and warranty. NETL has conducted market research and found no other vendors capable of meeting this requirement. This notice is not a request for proposal. Interested parties who believe they can meet the requirement must provide written evidence of their capability to the Contract Specialist, Arturo Manantan, via email at arturo.manantan@netl.doe.gov by 5:00 PM ET on June 26, 2026.
