Description
The West Virginia Department of Transportation (WVDOT) is issuing a Request for Proposals (RFP) for Snow Removal and Ice Control (SRIC) services on designated secondary roads in Preston and Monongalia Counties. The contract is part of a two-year pilot program. Vendors may bid on one or more of six SRIC areas (three in Monongalia County and three in Preston County). Services include snow removal (roadway and shoulder), application of SRIC materials (sodium chloride, calcium chloride, abrasives), standby surcharge, and seasonal mobilization. Vendors must provide all materials, equipment, and labor, including trucks with plows and salt spreaders, stockpile locations for materials, and qualified operators. The contract will be awarded to the highest scoring vendor per SRIC area based on a 70-point technical evaluation and 30-point cost evaluation. Vendors must have at least two prior projects of similar scope within the geographical area and operators with a minimum of two years of experience.
