Description
The University of Kansas, for the Kansas Geological Survey, seeks a Kansas-licensed driller to construct three deep monitoring wells in the Arbuckle formation. The contractor must provide drilling equipment, personnel, casing and materials, well-site geology and supervision, drilling and completion management, well development, and open-hole and cased-hole logging. The work also includes surveying, permitting and regulatory filings, waste handling and disposal, and site restoration. Partial bids will not be considered. The proposal must describe the drilling rig and technical approach, including casing and cementing, drilling fluids and containment, logging, well completion, waste disposal, site integrity, and restoration. Bidders must have at least five years of recent experience with similar monitoring-network installations, hold a valid Kansas driller’s license, and attend the mandatory site visits. The three wells are to be completed by the stated site-specific deadlines, with all work completed by June 30, 2027.
