Description
The City of Abilene is conducting market research before developing separate future RFPs for Internet Services and Managed IT Services. Respondents may address internet services, managed IT services, or both. The City is seeking information about connectivity options for 12 locations, including fiber, broadband, redundancy and failover, service levels, installation, equipment, static IP addresses, monitoring, support, and transition from current providers. The managed IT scope includes fully managed or co-managed service models, help desk and on-site support, network and endpoint administration, Microsoft 365, cybersecurity, backup and business continuity, CJIS and operational technology considerations, equipment and licensing ownership, administrative access, transition planning, pricing structures, and recommendations for future solicitations. This is an RFI for planning and market research only, not a request for bids or proposals, and it will not directly result in a contract award.
