Description
The County of Maui Department of Water Supply is soliciting sealed electronic bids for construction of a deep groundwater monitoring well at the Alaeloa Tank Site. The work includes site preparation, drilling an approximately 551-foot pilot borehole and reamed borehole, collecting drill samples and logs, geophysical and video logging, water-level and water-quality measurements, plumbness and alignment testing, and coordination with the Engineer and USGS representative. The contractor must furnish and install solid and perforated well casing, cement grout, a steel surface casing with locking cap, a concrete pad, chain-link fencing and gate, an interpretive sign, survey services, hydrogeologist services, and associated restoration and demobilization. Bidders must hold the applicable State of Hawaii contractor license, including classification C-57, and submit at least five percent bid security. The contract time may not exceed 365 calendar days, with liquidated damages of $300 per calendar day for late completion. Performance and payment bonds, each equal to 100 percent of the contract price, and required insurance are due after award.
