Description
Geary County is soliciting sealed bids for the complete straightening and repair of an approximately 43-foot-long by 4.5-foot-high retaining wall along the sidewalk at the Sheriff's station. The work includes removing dirt behind the wall, installing drain ports and drain tiles, straightening the wall, repairing or replacing broken blocks, backfilling to grade, reseeding the grass area, protecting surrounding grounds and sidewalks, and completing all cleanup. The contractor must furnish all labor, materials, supplies, and incidentals, comply with applicable City of Junction City and Geary County building codes, and obtain required permits. Bidders are strongly encouraged to inspect existing conditions before submitting a bid. The successful contractor must coordinate the work schedule with the County, carry general liability insurance under an occurrence policy for personal injury and property damage, and provide a current certificate naming Geary County as certificate holder. The bid packet must be completed and signed by an authorized company representative; pricing must separately identify labor, materials, rental costs, incidentals, and total cost, excluding tax.
