Description
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is conducting advanced virtual industry engagement for a planned construction contract involving approximately 126 groundwater pressure relief wells at the C-44 Reservoir and Stormwater Treatment Area in Martin County, Florida. The anticipated work includes 116 base wells and an option for 10 additional wells, associated precast manholes, HDPE outfall pipes and discharge end sections, excavation and grading, dewatering, cofferdams, surface-water management, environmental and turbidity monitoring, restoration, well development, pump testing, and documentation. The relief wells are expected to be approximately 60 feet deep, with 10-inch stainless-steel risers and high-flow screens installed in 18- to 24-inch boreholes. The notice is for planning and market research only and is not a solicitation or request for proposals. The Government is seeking feedback on constructability, drilling and well-construction methods, schedule optimization, long-lead materials and equipment, Project Labor Agreement impacts, interest in the future procurement, and bonding capability. The target price range is $25 million to $50 million, and the anticipated period of performance is 24 to 30 months from receipt of Notice to Proceed, including options for a subset of the wells.
