Description
The City of New York Department of Environmental Protection is soliciting competitive sealed bids for Contract OB-144A, Total Residual Chlorine Optimization at the Oakwood Beach Wastewater Resource Recovery Facility. The work includes structural, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, concrete rehabilitation, piping, valve, gate, pump, mixer, and paving work associated with upgrades to the existing chlorination facilities. The project includes modifications to chlorine contact tanks; replacement of weirs, sluice gates, mud valves, pumps, and actuators; installation of total residual chlorine analyzers, sampling pumps, level sensors, total suspended solids sensors, programmable logic controller, human-machine interface, uninterruptible power supply, control wiring, and automatic dosing controls; and replacement of an existing induction mixer. The solicitation also requires minimum qualifications demonstrating at least three substantially completed similar projects within the last ten years and at least three years of similar experience. Bidders must submit the bid electronically through PASSPort, provide required bid security, and complete the specified bid forms and certifications. The contract has an anticipated 700-calendar-day performance period and is subject to prevailing-wage, bonding, insurance, Project Labor Agreement, disadvantaged-business-enterprise, domestic-content, and other construction requirements.
