Description
The U.S. Department of Agriculture Forest Service is soliciting quotations for clearing and grubbing, pit and quarry development, aggregate crushing and screening, contractor testing, and production of specified stockpiled aggregate at Black Butte Pit. The work includes mobilization, erosion and sediment control, dust-control watering, temporary traffic control, access-road construction, topsoil stripping, overburden removal, restoration, disposal of excess material, and related pit-development activities. The revised schedule includes 20,000 cubic yards of base stockpiled aggregate and an option for 31,500 cubic yards; quantities ordered may depend on unit pricing and available funding, and partial quantities may be ordered. Contractors must provide all equipment, personnel, and associated materials, submit pricing for every line item, and provide a technical approach addressing crusher suitability and capacity, production quality control, operational efficiency, production rates, and downtime reduction. The anticipated award is a firm-fixed-price contract to one contractor, with past performance involving similar rock types, production volumes, geography, timely completion, contract adherence, and client references evaluated. Operations are prohibited on federal holidays, Saturdays, Sundays, and between 8:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m.
