Description
Ellis County is soliciting sealed bids for a term contract covering the purchase and delivery of crushed limestone aggregates meeting current Texas Department of Transportation Item 247 specifications. Required materials include Type A, Grade 1; Type A, Grade 4; and Type A, Grade 5 aggregates, with pricing requested for plant pickup and delivery to designated county precinct locations. The awarded vendor must identify the geographic quarry source, use material from a naturally occurring source listed on the TxDOT Material Producer List, and provide delivery capacity for all county locations. The vendor must control or have a dedicated contractual arrangement for a commercial fleet capable of at least ten tandem or belly-dump hauling units daily; paper-only brokers and logistics entities without dedicated hauling or source-supply control are nonresponsive. The bid also requests rates for demurrage, minimum-order or freight charges, mileage surcharges, and discounts on related off-list products. Required response materials include business and contact information, three references, a current W-9, conflict-of-interest documentation, Form 1295, proof of insurance, and quality-control sieve analysis or producer data confirming compliance with TxDOT standards.
