Description
The Virginia Department of Transportation is soliciting bids for FOB quarry supply of approximately 78,400 tons of assorted aggregate stone. Required materials include Stone Nos. 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 10, 21A, 22, 25, 26, 30, 57, 68, and 78; riprap Classes A1, I, and II; surge rockfill; gabion stone; and No. 9 non-polishing stone. The stone will be picked up from the quarry by VDOT state forces or VDOT-hired contractors. Quantities are specified by material type, and the work location is identified as the Culpeper District. The solicitation is an invitation for bids and includes attachments concerning the Virginia State Corporation Commission form, normal and emergency contacts, VDOT area headquarters and mileage-radius information, and quarry source of material.
