Description
The Arkansas Department of Transportation is soliciting a statewide term contract with one or more suppliers to furnish mineral aggregate, crushed stone, and gravel of various classes for highway maintenance. The contract does not obligate the agency to purchase a specific quantity or at a specific time; transportation cost and haul length will be considered when placing orders, and materials must be loaded onto state trucks within 72 hours of an individual order unless immediate loading is required. The agency may purchase Aggregate Surface Course Classes D-4 and D-8, with specified grading and material-quality requirements, measured and paid by the ton. The contract is FOB statewide, and cooperative purchasing by other Arkansas tax-supported entities is permitted at the vendor’s discretion. Bidders must submit the furnished bid form. Out-of-state corporations awarded contracts must provide a certified certificate of authority and license to do business in Arkansas before contract execution. The attached Arkansas certification form requires certification regarding Israel, illegal immigrant, energy/fossil fuel/firearms/ammunition industry, and scrutinized-company restrictions; the scrutinized-company certification is required with the bid or proposal submission. The solicitation permits zero or negative unit prices and labor entries. ARDOT may award to multiple bidders and may terminate the contract with 15 days’ notice.
