Description

The USDA Forest Service requires a licensed water-supply well contractor to restore the potable-water well serving Lava Lands Visitor Center. The work includes removing the existing pump and drop-pipe assemblies; performing a full downhole video survey and well profile; mechanically and hydraulically cleaning and rehabilitating the well; diagnosing sediment issues; and furnishing and installing an in-kind or equivalent 20-horsepower submersible pump and related components. Existing drop pipe is to be salvaged and reinstalled except for deteriorated sections, with approximately 40 linear feet available as an optional replacement item. The contractor must furnish all labor, materials, equipment, transportation, and incidentals; comply with Oregon Health Authority requirements and applicable Oregon Administrative Rules; perform disinfection, bacteriological testing, drawdown testing, flushing, documentation, and system demonstration; and provide work plans, schedules, survey video, well-condition evaluations, and cleanout documentation. This is a firm-fixed-price commercial construction procurement with award based on lowest price technically acceptable, including acceptable or neutral past performance. Amendment 1 reopens the solicitation because prior quotations exceeded the Government’s Independent Government Estimate and permits new or revised quotations; all other terms remain unchanged.
