Description
This pre-solicitation concerns a single firm-fixed-price construction project for environmental mechanical dredging and placement of contaminated sediment from the Monguagon Creek Upper Trenton Channel in Riverview, Michigan. Approximately 28,100 cubic yards will be removed from two sediment management areas, with depths of up to 4 feet in Area 1 and 25 feet in Area 2, then transported and placed in Cell 5 of the Pointe Mouillee Confined Disposal Facility. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Detroit District intends to issue an Invitation for Bids using competitive sealed bidding and definitive responsibility criteria evaluated on a pass/fail basis before price evaluation. The estimated construction magnitude is $10 million to $20 million, with no option periods. The procurement is a 100% total small-business set-aside and identifies dredging and surface cleanup activities and environmental remediation services as the applicable work classifications. Electronic submission through the PIEE Solicitation Module is required, and contractors must be registered in both SAM.gov and PIEE.
