Description
The National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) is seeking applications for the Native Entities Grant Program, authorized by the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act of 2021. This program aims to support Indian Tribes, Alaska Native entities, and Native Hawaiian organizations in developing and implementing broadband use and adoption activities, facilitating educational and employment opportunities, and expanding access to public computing centers. Eligible entities, including Native Entities and Consortia, can apply for grants ranging from $500,000 to $2,500,000. Applicants must contribute at least a 10% match, though waivers may be considered. The funding is intended to complement existing federal broadband initiatives, such as the Broadband Equity, Access, and Deployment (BEAD) Program, by promoting efficient and measurable improvements in broadband connectivity and use within Native communities.
