Description
The National Institute of Food and Agriculture is offering competitive grants for informal, community-focused extension pilot projects and workshops at legislatively designated 1994 Tribal institutions. Proposed activities may address agricultural productivity, food systems, natural resources, community vitality, workforce and economic development, public health and well-being, Tribal youth engagement, leadership development, and agricultural literacy. Projects should produce measurable changes in learning, actions, or community conditions and may incorporate innovative agricultural technologies, including artificial intelligence. Eligible applicants are limited to the listed 1994 Institutions, with a maximum of two applications per institution and generally no more than two awards per institution. Standard Extension Grants may run 24–36 months with awards of $50,000–$200,000; Workshop Grants run 12 months with awards up to $50,000. Approximately $1.5 million is available, no matching contribution is required, and indirect costs are not permitted. Applications must include the required federal application forms, a project summary, project narrative, data management plan, budget and justification, and other applicable materials.
