Description
Rainbow Municipal Water District is soliciting bids for construction of the Wild Acres Pump Station. The work includes demolition and civil site improvements; suction and discharge piping and appurtenances; connections to existing water lines; a CMU pump-station building; site and offsite electrical improvements; instrumentation and controls; traffic control; permits; cleanup; and related labor, materials, equipment, and incidentals. The contractor must install an owner-furnished packaged pump skid and emergency generator, coordinate new electrical service, decommission temporary power after permanent power is available, and provide programming and controls integration with the District's existing SCADA system through a qualified controls integration subcontractor. The project includes a remote telemetry unit, PLC and HMI programming, automated valve sequencing, three variable-frequency-drive pumps, electrical systems, testing, commissioning, training, and operations and maintenance documentation. The engineer's opinion of probable cost is approximately $2.4 million. The contract documents state 305 calendar days for the contract time, although a draft agreement states 230 calendar days; this discrepancy should be clarified before bidding.
