Description
The City of Madison seeks a contractor for channel improvements involving removal of approximately 980 linear feet of reinforced concrete channel lining, excavation and grading to lower and widen the channel, and construction of a low-flow channel and floodplain benches. Work also includes storm sewer pipe and structure installation or modification, riprap and erosion-control measures, and restoration with native seed mixes and plantings. The contractor will protect and work around existing pedestrian bridges, temporarily relocating or disassembling portions as needed and restoring them after construction. The scope also includes tree clearing, invasive-plant control and ecological restoration through 2028, path repairs, stormwater and groundwater control, and construction-site stabilization. The bid requires City prequalification in applicable work categories, a 12% Small Business Enterprise utilization goal or documented good-faith efforts, and a 5% bid bond.
