Description
Christina School District seeks one or more vendors to provide homebound/supportive instruction for PreK-12 students temporarily at home, hospitalized, suspended, expelled, or transitioning back to school. Services may be delivered in person or virtually and include instruction in Language Arts, mathematics, social studies, and science; assistance with an assigned web-based curriculum; compliance with IEP and 504 plans; administration of required assessments; coordination with families, schools, teachers, and district personnel; collection and return of assignments; weekly instructional reporting; invoicing support; and final service reports. Vendors must provide appropriately certified tutors, maintain student and attendance records, protect confidential information, and support required district approvals and communications. Proposals must include an hourly, all-inclusive price and the maximum number of students the vendor can serve. The solicitation evaluates relevant instructional experience, staff stability and qualifications, ability to serve varied student circumstances, data collection and reporting capabilities, and cost. Required personnel qualifications and documentation include a bachelor's degree in a relevant subject area, Delaware teacher certification, criminal-background and child-abuse-registry clearances, drug and alcohol screening, and other specified screening documentation. The initial contract term is three years beginning January 1, 2027, with two possible one-year renewals and a possible month-to-month extension of up to three months.
