Description
The Naval Surface Warfare Center Crane Division intends to award a sole-source, indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity contract under FAR Part 15 for neutron, electron linear accelerator (LINAC), and combined-environment testing services supporting the Radiation Combined Environment Test Capability and military hardware survivability validation programs. The proposed contractor will provide end-to-end operation, availability, maintenance, and enhancement of Government-owned nuclear weapon effects simulators, including Dense Plasma Focus and LINAC systems, associated diagnostics, and other Government-furnished property. The agency identifies Amentum Services Inc. as the only responsible source because of its required secured real estate near NSWC Crane, completed and approved facility designs with radiation-shielding calculations, mature nuclear and radiological safety and regulatory documentation, and established integration with the Government-furnished-property manufacturer. The notice permits responsible sources to submit capability information for consideration, but the RFP will be provided directly to Amentum rather than publicly posted.
