The U.S. Navy's Naval Surface Warfare Center Crane requires Missile Extractor Loaders (MEL), part number 8939689-001, and Vertical Handling Adapters (VHA), part number 8939750-001. The VHA attaches to an All-Up Round plus Canister to facilitate lifting, installation, and removal of canisters into submarines. The MEL attaches to the Upper Support Plate and interfaces with the VHA's hydraulic system for seating and extracting canisters. This is planned as a five-year, indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity, firm-fixed-price contract. Products must be manufactured exclusively at facilities within 250 miles of the specified Crane, Indiana facility. Delivery is required FOB destination. Contractors must be registered in the System for Award Management and the Joint Certification Program to receive controlled attachments.
