Johnson County Highway Department is requesting a Letter of Interest from qualified engineering consultants to provide construction engineering and inspection services for the replacement of Bridge 56, located on N CR 750 W over Henderson Creek. The project will replace an existing 32-foot single-span precast concrete channel beam bridge with a 70-foot single-span prestressed concrete box beam bridge and widened roadway. The construction estimate is $1,003,393, with 80% federal and 20% local funding; letting is scheduled for March 2027. The selected consultant will provide construction inspection services under the CE phase through project completion. The Letter of Interest must address firm qualifications, key staff and project manager experience, proposed subconsultants, staff capacity, project approach, site visitation, technical understanding, cost containment, and innovative ideas. The solicitation identifies multiple required prequalification categories, including construction inspection, bridge design, roadway design, project management, surveying, environmental documentation, right-of-way, appraisal, and title-search services. The DBE goal is 0% and is not currently required; an Affirmative Action Certification and related DBE documentation are required only if the DBE goal is greater than 0%.
