Description
The City of Hoover is soliciting sealed bids for Glenwood Road Storm Sewer System Improvements. The work includes stormwater pipe and structure removal and installation; roadway pipe culverts; junction boxes, manholes, inlets, and other drainage structures; roadway and site restoration; concrete driveway work; riprap, topsoil, and solid sodding; traffic control; grading; utility adjustment; and erosion and sediment control. The contractor must furnish all labor, materials, equipment, and incidentals, complete the work within 60 working days, and provide one year of maintenance after final acceptance. The bid package requires the use of the provided bid forms and includes a bid submission checklist, company information page, proposal, bid bond or certified check, sales-tax accounting form, debarment statement, and certification regarding Alabama Act 2016-312. Bidders must provide an Alabama general contractor's license and Municipal & Utility or Highways & Streets certification. The selected contractor must provide performance and labor-and-material payment bonds, while insurance certificates and related endorsements are required at contract execution rather than with the bid.
