Description
Bergen Community College is soliciting proposals for remote ASL interpreting, real-time CART, and Typewell speech-to-text services to support deaf and hard-of-hearing students, faculty, and staff. Services will be provided on an as-needed basis for academic classes and campus-based events, with capacity for up to 20 classes per semester and approximately 705 hours per semester for both CART and Typewell services. Requirements include same-day transcripts, monthly summary statements, online technical support, student and staff training for CART, and qualified providers with the specified ASL, CART, and Typewell credentials or training. The selected contractor will provide support for meetings, workshops, conferences, presentations, graduation, and convocations, as well as certain transcription and technical-support services if available. Proposals must address company qualifications, similar experience, staffing and availability, key personnel, educational-institution experience, approach, and references. Compensation will be based on proposed hourly rates, with no guaranteed minimum quantity of work.
