Description
The County of Dane is soliciting proposals for a comprehensive digital resident telephone, tablet, and video visitation system and services for the Dane County Jail. This includes the provision, installation, maintenance, and service of all necessary equipment and the entire system. The scope of work involves providing a fully operational system that offers local, interLATA, intraLATA, interstate, and intrastate calling services, video visitation, and messaging services. The vendor will also be responsible for a monitoring and recording system. Key requirements include a 1:1 tablet-to-resident ratio based on the average daily population, with at least 168 fixed resident telephones, a minimum of 70 kiosks, and 64 non-contact visitation handsets. The system must be expandable and include administrative capabilities for day-to-day operations. The contract will also encompass services during the Jail Consolidation project, which aims to update and consolidate jail facilities, with an estimated completion date in late 2027. The vendor is expected to provide a turn-key solution at no cost to the County, with all costs for equipment, installation, maintenance, and service covered by the vendor. The system must comply with all relevant federal and state regulations, including those from the FCC and Public Service Commission of Wisconsin.
