Description
The County of Orange Social Services Agency is soliciting proposals for client advocacy services supporting potentially eligible General Relief clients, children, and non-minor dependents with Supplemental Security Income (SSI), State Supplementary Payment (SSP), Retirement, Survivors and Disability Insurance (RSDI), and Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) benefits. Services include screening and eligibility assessment, obtaining and evaluating medical and mental-health records, assisting with applications, acting as or obtaining an authorized representative, supporting hearings and appeals, coordinating examinations and transportation, monitoring case status, and maintaining case records. The contractor must provide qualified and trained staff, including personnel who have completed SOAR requirements, meet specified workload and performance standards, provide language and translation services, maintain confidentiality and information-security controls, and submit required progress and financial reports. The County intends to award one contract, subject to approval and funding, with an estimated maximum value of $2,100,000 over three years and a possible two-year renewal.
