Description
The Federal Bureau of Prisons is soliciting quotes for its first-quarter fiscal year 2027 national menu requirements. The procurement covers individually awarded commercial food products, including dry beans, pasta, grains, oils and shortening, hummus, canned vegetables and tomatoes, juices, soup base, spices, pudding, gelatin, cereal, frozen liquid eggs, ground beef, beef patties, and frozen boneless skinless chicken breasts. Multiple items may be awarded to one contractor. Products must comply with the specified Certified Menu and BOP Religious Diet specifications, applicable USDA and commercial item standards, packaging and labeling requirements, expiration-date requirements, and temperature and condition requirements. Deliveries must be palletized unless otherwise arranged, and nonconforming or damaged products may be rejected. Quotes are evaluated on price, past performance, and product specification conformance, with past performance and conformance identified as significantly as important as price. The resulting purchase order will be firm fixed price, with delivery requested from October 1 through October 23, 2026.
