Description
Tarrant County College District is soliciting a single-prime, stipulated lump-sum construction contract for renovations to existing kitchen and food service areas at Northeast Campus in Hurst, Southeast Campus in Arlington, and South Campus in Fort Worth, Texas. The work centers on adding fryer equipment and includes removal or salvage of existing equipment, purchase and installation of new food service equipment, selective demolition, electrical and mechanical modifications, exhaust and ductwork, utility connections, cutting, patching, repairs, testing and balancing, metal fabrication, and coordination within occupied facilities. The South Campus base bid must include a $30,000 cash allowance for investigation-related repairs or replacement of existing ductwork serving the new fryer. The Southeast Campus includes an alternate for exhaust-fan replacement if testing and balancing determines replacement is necessary. Prevailing wage rates apply to the Tarrant County building-construction project. Responses require a letter, price proposal, required forms, bid security, certificate of insurance, and narrative sections addressing reputation, quality control, approach, past relationship, long-term cost and risk, and other relevant factors; HUB materials are optional and informational only.
