Description
The City of St. Pete Beach is soliciting bids from qualified contractors for dock and pier repair and rehabilitation on the 7th Avenue Fishing Pier. The project includes in-kind replacement of decking, beams, joists, diagonal cross members, and deficient pile wraps or jackets, along with all labor, materials, equipment, permits, disposal, traffic control, staging, and incidental work necessary to complete the project within the existing footprint. The bid requires a lump-sum base price, work description, repair methods and materials, detailed price breakdown, assumptions or clarifications, references, qualifications, licensing, insurance documentation, and required affidavits. One electronic bid must be submitted through Bonfire. Construction must begin within 30 business days after the notice to proceed and be completed within 180 calendar days from project start. Bid, performance, and payment bonds are required at 100 percent. Required insurance includes $1 million commercial general liability, comprehensive general liability, personal injury, and automobile liability coverage, workers' compensation as required by Florida law, and Longshore and Harbor Workers' Compensation coverage.
