Description
The City of Redmond is requesting qualifications from consulting firms to provide preliminary and final civil engineering design services for a Safe Streets and Roads for All project. The scope includes project management; data collection and survey/mapping; curb-ramp analysis and design; AutoTurn analysis; 30%, 90%, and bid-ready plans, specifications, and estimates; environmental and permitting support; bid-period support; and community-engagement exhibit support. The project will demonstrate temporary or reversible traffic-calming and pedestrian-safety improvements in Redmond, including narrowed vehicle lanes, two mid-block pedestrian crossings with rectangular rapid-flashing beacons, roadway striping replacement, and three temporary or modular mini roundabouts. Optional services may include additional investigations and design, construction engineering, construction management, inspection support, and record-drawing preparation. The agreement is expected to run for approximately 12 months, with a possible extension, and respondents must submit a project understanding and approach, relevant experience, team qualifications and organization chart, schedule and labor-hour budget, management and QA/QC approaches, reporting and coordination methods, and an SBE Participation Plan.
