Description
The City of Aurora is soliciting bids for a limited interior renovation of Aurora Fire Rescue Station 17. The project will create a dedicated bunker gear room in the apparatus bay and improve the vestibule separating the apparatus bay from the living quarters. Work includes selective demolition; new interior partitions, doors, finishes, and ceilings; smoke-seal upgrades; and associated structural, mechanical, HVAC, and electrical work. A mechanical alternate covers concealing ductwork. The building will remain occupied and operational during construction, requiring coordination with the City, dust and noise controls, utility-outage planning, background checks for site personnel, permits, inspections, commissioning, closeout documentation, and a one-year warranty. The estimated project cost is $267,475 to $356,635. The contract requires 120 consecutive calendar days for construction plus 10 consecutive calendar days for mobilization after issuance of the Notice to Proceed.
