Description
The Colorado Department of Corrections is seeking qualified vendors to provide on-site boiler water chemical treatment, laboratory testing, technical support, training, consulting, and related chemicals, materials, equipment, testing supplies, and tools at the Fremont Correctional Facility boiler house. The scope includes treatment of steam boilers, condenser and condensate systems, cooling towers, and chiller water systems; monthly testing and chemical balancing; inspections; recommendations for system care; monthly laboratory analysis reports; and technical guidance on chemical handling, controls, maintenance, testing, and operation. Vendors must provide all necessary treatment chemicals and supplies, conduct scheduled monthly service, support additional testing or treatment requests, and respond to urgent or emergency service calls within 24 hours. Required products and supplies include sodium sulfate air scavenger, polyamine hydronic-line treatment, phosphate scale inhibitor, trisodium phosphate pH balancer, water-testing reagents, hardness and alkalinity testing supplies, coliform test kits if needed, fluorescent tracer dye tablets if needed, and Material Safety Data Sheets. Pricing must be itemized, all-inclusive, and firm during the initial term, including delivery and service costs. The resulting purchase order is anticipated to begin September 24, 2026, or after execution, for one year through June 30, 2027, with up to four additional one-year renewal periods. At least one of two mandatory site visits is required, and personnel entering the correctional facility must satisfy background-check, consent-to-search, identification, and security requirements.
