Description
The City of Dunwoody, through its Parks and Recreation Department, is seeking artist qualifications for large-scale outdoor murals celebrating Black History Month. Selected artists will create horizontal 8-by-4-foot murals on plywood panels for outdoor display along the perimeter fence of Brook Run Skate Park from February 1 through February 28, 2027. The murals must withstand outdoor conditions for the duration of the exhibit. Dunwoody Parks and Recreation will provide each selected artist with one 8-by-4-foot plywood mural board and one can of primer. Artists are responsible for all other materials, supplies, transportation, and related expenses, including pickup of the provided materials and delivery of completed murals. The department will oversee installation. Applicants must submit a resume with relevant experience and professional references, proposed mural designs, an artist statement, and a portfolio or examples of relevant artwork. The total project budget is $12,500.
